Unfortunately, many stray, abandoned, injured and neglected animals struggle to find food, shelter and medical attention. Providing timely care and promoting responsible treatment of animals are essential steps towards building a more compassionate society.
The Human Rights Council of India (HRCI) aims to promote animal welfare through its Annual Animal Rescue & Care Initiative. The initiative focuses on encouraging compassion towards animals, raising awareness about animal protection and supporting efforts to help animals in need. Through community participation and responsible animal care practices, the programme seeks to encourage people to recognize the importance of protecting vulnerable animals.
Our Key Objectives
Through this initiative, HRCI aims to encourage animal rescue awareness, access to appropriate veterinary care, food and water support for animals in need, and responsible pet ownership. The programme also seeks to educate communities about animal cruelty prevention, humane treatment and the importance of contacting qualified veterinarians or authorized animal rescue organizations when animals are injured or distressed.
